we began drywalling during the thanksgiving holiday. there was a team of 4 of us. we expected to make much better progress in th three days of work we did. but we are amateurs (it shows!), and there is not a right angle in the house.
we made some makeshift tables and began to measure and cut and screw...

before long, the place starts to resemble much more of a house. the sound of the place changes once again.

once all the walls were up it was time to do the ceilings. to accomplish this we acquired a magical jack in a temporary arrangement.

the magical jack lifted sheets of drywall magically onto the ceiling where they were affixed and were hence the source of much delight.

it's mid-january, and to do the taping and mudding of drywall, we need to maintain 50 degrees or above... so that means feeding the fire. it's actually looking like a place to inhabit!
.....and a soon after all this, we put a coat of primer on it all. no pic of that available until next chapter.
