I keep asking myself: "What is the most important, revolutionary, revelationary thing that you can be doing with your life, at this moment?" Consistently, the answer appears to me... sometimes it is spelled out in the orange of flames of the woodstove, or appears in the wood grain of a stained 1x3, or the grease on my hands after working on some bikes.... "BLOGGING!". Nevertheless, I have done a crap job at obeying these omens and have neglected to update this website with self-promotional garble, or even actual useful things that are going on in my lives. Shame on me. Moving on.
i was in the northwest for the NYC blackout a couple years ago, but i remember hearing fabulous stories of the rediscovered streets and human interactions that happened when the power went out. I am reminded of it now, because our power is out - and for a few blocks around our house. I am wondering what all the people who watch tv all the time are doing? Then I realize that actually, i could be asking what are all those people who sit in front of their computers doing?
